Significant Visitors
17th February 2018. An unseasonably warm Saturday afternoon. The sun is shining. We have friends round to visit, and it's so warm that we sit outside on garden chairs, without coats. But these are not the Significant Visitors I mean. No, someone else has been invited to the garden. The mahonia which grows by the front drive is displaying flowers to invite the local honey bees, and they have come! How nice to see them in the garden. There must be a hive nearby - they are unlikely to have flown far.
